Care:

Metals

• Silver will slowly tarnish over time, but this can be buffed out with the supplied polishing cloth in every order.

• Gold will tarnish less and it is a non-reactive material. The higher karat of gold, the less tarnishing will occur.

• Tarnishing is accelerated by chlorine, and also high alcohol consumption! Just make sure you rinse your piece after swimming, and make sure you dry it well.

Gemstones

• Stones vary in hardness, and its especially important to be gentler with the soft ones. Sapphires, rubies, diamonds, alexandrites are all very high on the Mohs Hardness scale, and therefore very durable. Peridots, opals, etc. are softer and should not be impacted.
